Initial Contact:
Families with tuition concerns should start by reaching out to the School Administrator.
Evaluation of Assistance:
The Administrator will coordinate with the Financial Manager to determine how existing tuition assistance programs might help.
Application Process:
The Financial Manager will guide the family through the application process, outlining the documentation they need and the deadlines for each part.
Communication of Available Assistance:
The Tuition Assistance Committee will review the application and communicate to the family what funds are or are not available within 10 days. By necessity, the allocation of assistance will be based on relative need and available funds each year.
If Assistance is Insufficient to Help the Family:
The Administrator will set up a meeting with the family to discuss possible alternative payment arrangements that could provide relief.
Agreement Options That Might Address Additional Challenges:
The Financial Manager will draft potential adjustments or payment plans and present them for consideration in the hopes of lightening the family's load in any way possible.
Determination Process:
Alternative arrangements will be assessed by the Tuition Assistance Committee in order to ensure equitable distribution of existing resources.
Final Determination:
If, after these options have been exhausted, the family's needs cannot be met, the School Administrator will consult with the Tuition Assistance Committee for a final determination on releasing the family from a tuition agreement they are unable to fulfill.
Documentation:
The Administrator will prepare a formal release letter, outlining the committee's determination and explaining any related circumstances.
Communication:
The Financial Manager will ensure the family receives the release document and will retain a copy for school records.
PURPOSE: To establish a clear process for addressing tuition commitment concerns, ensuring financial responsibility while providing transparent and equitable processes for families in need of assistance. Our goal is to provide a Waldorf Education to as many children as possible.
