Admissions

Welcome!

Waldorf education is unique because your child is unique.

Our teaching approach meets each child where they are-academically, socially and emotionally-to help your child become the best thinker, student, leader, and citizen of the world they can be. Come for a visit during one of our Walk Through the Grades through our classrooms or come along for a personal tour of our campus and you’ll begin to see what makes Whidbey Island Waldorf different from all other schools. You’ll start to see and feel all the reasons to choose a Waldorf education. You might catch a glimpse of our Nursery students playing outside in their Muddy Buddies, or watch sixth graders build a fire and observe the phenomena of light and gas in our Sunny Meadow. You might see our seventh graders working hard in service preparing for their Knighting Ceremony or perhaps you’ll hear third graders speaking or singing Spanish. You might talk to some of our gifted and dedicated teachers, who seem to “get” your child after just meeting them.

There’s a lot to see on our beautiful campus at Whidbey Island Waldorf. Schedule a visit, or start your application below.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • When an applicant is considered to be a good fit for the program, but space is not available, the applicant is placed in the wait pool. A wait pool applicant does not have a specific place in the wait pool, but will be offered an available space based on the class composition.

    Wait pool priorities:

    1) Teacher’s Child 2) Siblings 3) A returning school student and/or previous commitment to Waldorf Education 4) New families

  • Your second child (and subsequent children) receive a 10% sibling discount.

  • If a family is applying for Adjusted Tuition through FAST Aid, that application should be completed by the prospective family at the same time of the enrollment application completion. Adjusted Tuition funds are finite. The sooner you can apply for FastAID, the more likelihood there will be funds available.

More than $500,000 has been awarded so far this year.
