School Blessing Verse

In each room of our
school
may a holy
 mood prevail.

May we take up
what is living
in
our work in an
attitude
of peace,
harmony & love.

May this work
itself
appear to us
as a living thing,

growing out
of the spirit.

Let this building
be filled
with
the inspiration
of hearts
that flow
together
in love
for all humankind.

Robin Song Extended Care & After Care

Whidbey Island Waldorf School currently offers Extended Care program and After-School program Monday through Friday for both Early Childhood (Nursery & Kindergarten) and students through Grade 8. The program is designed with the students' school day in mind, and offers a healthy rhythm of breathing to accommodate a longer day for the younger children in a developmentally-appropriate way. The program is run by a trained Waldorf teacher who coordinates care with her assistant(s).

We offer an advanced registration option for Extended Care from 12:15 - 2:45 pm or 3:30pm for WIWS-enrolled Nursery and Kindergarten students. Care is offered on days of school enrollment only; the cost of attendance is added to monthly tuition. This program is not available to children still in diapers. Participating students must be pre-registered for this part of our extended care program.

We also offer a drop-in option for Extended Care from 2:45 - 3:30 p.m.

Sunflower Kindergarten assistant teacher Vanessa Rochon-Tierney leads, with assistance from Golden Forest assistant teacher Lori Jackintell and Meredith Wetherell.

We also offer an After-School care program from 2:45 - 4pm for Grades 1-8. Teacher Ginger Spaulding leads. Please email Karina, enrollment@wiws.org, if you need to register your child.

Extra charges will be added to parent's TADS financial agreements each month.
